In Atlanta, Georgia on the eight of November Dr. Laura Jana explained weid chacteristics of babies. Jana says she gets lots of phone calls about baby faces full of zits, which usually happens when a baby is 3 or 4 weeks old. Again, hormones are the culprit here. A baby who's been bathing in mom's hormones for nine months can sometimes come out of the womb with enlarged breasts, even boys. In the first six weeks of life, many babies cross their eyes. thick, scaly patches on your baby's head, is called cradle cap and it's harmless, pediatricians say. Some parents are shocked to see their baby has a third nipple. But according to the NIH, they're actually fairly common. This is good for parents to know when they have a newborn because then they won't be really worried because it is common.

On Thursday November 8, in Anak Krakatua, Indonesia the offspring of the fabled Krakatau volcano unleashes another mighty eruption, blasting smoke and red-hot rocks hundreds of feet into the sky. That blast was heard as far away as 2,500 miles and choked the atmosphere with ash and dust, altering weather patterns for years. Some 36,000 people were killed in the eruptions and ensuing tsunamis.
Now the 985-foot peak growing from the ocean where Krakatau once stood is erupting, one of several Indonesian volcanoes that have roared to life in recent weeks. This is bad for the people around the volcano because it destroying stuff and killing people now, and for the future it is going to make a weather change which could mess up their produce.

In Washington on the 16th of November, police officers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan are returning to duty with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder that law enforcement and mental health authorities fear could put their judgment and public safety at risk. The USA's largest organization of police chiefs is developing a national strategy to assist returning officers, citing worries that prolonged exposure to combat could make it harder for police to follow strict regulations on the use of lethal force in civilian life. It is very important for these police officers to get help because if they don't they will have a hard time trying to do their job.

Election

In Las Vegas on the 15th of November, democratic rivals again went after front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday, though she fired back at both Barack Obama and John Edwards. Obama, a senator from Illinois, chided Clinton for objecting to his proposal to raise the income limit on Social Security taxes. He said his proposal would affect only the wealthy and that Clinton was "playing with numbers" in arguing that would amount to a tax increase on the middle class. Edwards twice said there's "nothing personal" about his criticism of Clinton, but voters need to know the differences between him and "corporate Democrats" representing a broken system. This was important for Obama and Edwards because it is helping change decisions of some voters, but for Clinton its not good because they are telling her flaws.

In Islip, New York on the 15th of November, GPS tracking devices installed on government-issue vehicles are helping communities around the country reduce waste and abuse, in part by catching employees shopping, working out at the gym or otherwise loafing while on the clock. The use of GPS has led to firings, stoking complaints from employees and unions that the devices are intrusive. But city officials say that monitoring employees' movements has deterred abuses, saving the taxpayers money in gasoline and lost productivity. That is good for the community because anything that we can do to save on gas is a positive and could help global problems.

On Sunday, November the 18th, Owens pulled in 4 TDs as Cowboys beat the Redskins 28-23. Terrell Owens moved into third place all-time with 126 career TD receptions, trailing only Jerry Rice (197) and Cris Carter (130) after surpassing Marvin Harrison (123). Dallas has won four straight since losing to New England, and Owens is a huge reason for it, producing at least 100 yards receiving and one touchdown each game. This is good for both the Cowboys and Owens, the Cowboys got a win and Owens proved how good he is.

Iraq

In Baghdad, on November the 18th, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives as American soldiers were handing out toys to children northeast of Baghdad, killing at least three children and three of the troopers, U.S. and Iraqi authorities said.
Seven children were wounded in the Sunday attack in Baqouba, where U.S. soldiers wrested control from al-Qaeda in Iraq last summer. This is bad for the community because it shows that people are willing to kill children, just so they can kill Americans. Even when we are being nice, they still want to kill our soldiers.
